Bitumen Bag Melter

At GAJJAR, we are committed to providing innovative solutions for the construction and road maintenance sectors. Our Bitumen Bag Melter is a state-of-the-art piece of equipment designed to streamline the process of converting solid bitumen bags into a ready-to-use liquid form.

A bitumen melter is a specialized piece of equipment designed to heat and melt solid bitumen, which is typically packaged in bags or drums. This equipment efficiently transforms the solid bitumen into a liquid state, making it suitable for various applications. Once melted, the bitumen can be used in asphalt plants for the production of asphalt mix. Additionally, it serves various industrial purposes, providing a versatile solution for projects requiring liquid bitumen.

The process ensures that the bitumen is evenly heated and melted, maintaining the quality and consistency needed for its end-use applications. This functionality makes the bitumen melter an essential tool in the construction and maintenance of roads, as well as in other industries that utilize bitumen.

Key Components of Bitumen Bag Melter

The bagged bitumen melting equipment consist of following four parts, the melting chamber, the hoisting unit, thermal oil furnace, and pipelines.

This is the primary section where the solid bitumen, packaged in bags, is loaded for melting. The chamber is designed to withstand high temperatures and is equipped with heating elements that efficiently transfer heat to the bitumen. The chamber ensures an even distribution of heat to melt the bitumen uniformly, preventing any cold spots.

The hoisting unit is responsible for lifting and loading the bags of solid bitumen into the melting chamber. This mechanical system usually consists of a hoist or crane that can handle the weight of the bitumen bags and position them accurately within the chamber. This unit enhances the efficiency of the operation by automating the loading process, reducing manual labor and improving safety.

The thermal oil furnace is the heat source for the melting chamber. It heats a thermal oil medium that circulates through the heating elements in the melting chamber, transferring heat to the bitumen. The use of thermal oil ensures a consistent and controlled temperature, which is crucial for the efficient melting of bitumen without degradation. The furnace is designed to be energy-efficient and maintain a steady heat supply.

The pipelines facilitate the movement of thermal oil from the furnace to the melting chamber and back. They are designed to handle high temperatures and pressures, ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of heat. Additionally, pipelines may be used to transport the melted bitumen from the melting chamber to storage tanks or directly to the asphalt production line. Proper insulation and maintenance of these pipelines are essential to prevent heat loss and ensure operational efficiency.
