GAJJAR Equipments’ batch plants develop the consistency that is crucial to mix quality whilst providing maximum flexibility in the mixing process. All plant processes and components are carefully developed to ensure that feeding, heating, drying, screening and mixing seamlessly blend together. The proven control system, which provides leading technology with a user-friendly interface, makes it easy to handle the complex interaction of each piece of development.

Our top-notch asphalt batch mix plants assist contractors in producing hot mix asphalt using a discontinuous process and precise weighing technology. If you’re seeking hassle-free, user-friendly, and high-performance batch-mixing equipment, consider opting for our batch-mixing plants. These plants offer cost-effectiveness due to their low operating costs and reasonable spare parts expenses.

Systems to introduce reclaimed Asphalt into the hot mix asphalt mix: With increased costs of energy and the reduced availability and cost associated with extracting and processing virgin materials, the addition of recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) into the hot asphalt mix is becoming an increasingly important factor in surfacing materials and considering by us for asphalt specifiers and producers alike. The advance technology of GAJJAR allow introduction of the pre-processed cold RAP (Reclaimed asphalt pavement) material directly into the asphalt plant pug-mill mixer up to 30%.

HIGHLIGHTS

Working Principles

1. Aggregate Weighing and Drying:

Aggregates are stored in cold aggregate bins. They are then weighed and transferred to a drying drum where they are heated to remove moisture.

2. Asphalt Heating and Pumping:

Asphalt binder is stored in tanks and heated to the required temperature. It is then pumped to the mixing unit.

3. Mixing:

The heated aggregates and asphalt binder are mixed in a central mixer. Filler materials, if required, are also added during this stage.

4. Discharge:

Once the mixing process is complete, the batch of hot asphalt mix is discharged from the mixer into trucks or storage silos for transportation to the construction site

Key Components of Asphalt Batch Mix Plant

The aggregate feeding bins in Gajjar Asphalt Mixing plants are equipped with variable speed drive motors and gearboxes for each bin. These motors allow precise control and regulation of the aggregate flow individually, enabling the addition of the required proportions of individual aggregates according to the mix design.

Our drying drum is designed for longer life. Proven flight design ensures a perfect distribution of material to be dried. Positive drive is provided by means of a ring gear, coupled to a pinion driven by an inverter-controlled geared motor. The drum is guided through two rolling steel rings on 4 rollers with bearings mounted on a sturdy main frame. The modulating burner provided with the drying drum is designed for low fuel consumption, low noise, and easy maintenance.

The hot elevator serves the purpose of transporting dried aggregates to the top of the tower for screening. It is fully covered and equipped with an anti-slip feature. Additionally, the filler hopper is used for adding minerals to the hot mix. The filler is conveyed to the weighing hopper via a bucket elevator. Notable features of the system include a weighted tension system, interlocking for reverse motion of the chain and buckets, special dust protection design for bearings, human-sized easy maintenance clamps, large maintenance platforms, and wearing plates that protect the buckets against abrasion.

Our batch mix plant’s mixers are engineered for efficient and uniform mixing within a short timeframe. These mixers feature long-lasting Ni-Hard liner plates and easily replaceable tips. The robust shell is insulated by hot oil jacketing from all sides. Additionally, synchronized drives on each shaft ensure optimal performance, and quick maintenance is facilitated by easy access to maintenance doors. The mixer’s discharge gate spans the entire length, allowing rapid discharge of the hot mix material.

The baghouse operates in conjunction with the dry dust collector and is considered one of the most effective pollution control devices available today. The filter bags are durable even at temperatures up to 200°C. The fresh air system operates at temperatures higher than 200°C. The system functions automatically and is controlled from the control cabin. With emissions under 20 mg/m³, it meets world standards.

We provide a weighing system for aggregates, minerals, and bitumen in our batch-mix plants. A weight system is designed to isolate the vibrations caused by the vibrating screen. Aggregates are individually discharged through a weighing system in a twin-shaft mixer for mixing. In addition aggregates, fillers, and foreign fine materials are weighed separately and the weighing system uses a load cell for measuring bitumen.

The hot bin is divided into compartments to store the aggregate separately after screening by a vibrating screen. This heated bin temporarily holds the aggregate until it is weighed.

Our fully insulated asphalt tanks come in a variety of capacities. These tanks have direct or indirect heating methods and are equipped with hot oil jacketed piping.

Our asphalt batch mix plants are equipped with a bitumen pipeline, asphalt pump, bitumen weight hopper section, and hot oil jacketing on the foot mill body. Choosing hot oil for heating reduces problems such as asphalt pump binding and asphalt pipeline blocking, resulting in easier bitumen weight batching and foot mill operations. The thermic oil heaters come with auto temperature controls to maintain the exact bitumen temperature.
